Advertising held in every hand

The coffee shop wanted the cup to look like a postcard of its façade. We painted the building in watercolour and kept the soft colour transitions. The main challenge was unrolling the façade around the cup so the door and windows would not land on the seam.

For an Uzbek cuisine restaurant we built the identity from a traditional ornament in deep blue. The hard part of a geometric pattern is that it has to meet perfectly at the seam without distortion: the cup widens towards the top, so the ornament had to be built around that shape.

Bright yellow, a large logo and a slogan — a cup people notice from across the street. We placed a QR code and a phone number on it so the cup works as a sales channel too. The challenge was making the QR code scan on a curved surface and not get lost on the saturated background.

Calm green, a sprig and a lively slogan in Russian — a cup that sounds like a conversation with the guest. The challenge was finding the balance: leaving plenty of air without losing recognition, so the design looks concise rather than empty.

Samarkand’s Registan in the style of an engraving — a cup that tells the story of the city. The fine lines had to stay crisp even at a small size, and the QR code and contacts had to fit into the illustration without breaking it.

Rich blue and a character hugging a cup — a design with personality and the warm voice of a coffee shop. The main task was to keep the character and the logo readable from a distance and friendly even in minimalist white graphics.

For a gelato café we made a clean white design with subtle accents of the Italian flag. In minimalism every detail is on show, so the stripes and the logo had to be aligned precisely to the shape of the cup for the composition to look balanced from any side.

A warm copper texture and a calligraphic logo convey the atmosphere of the restaurant before the first sip. The challenge is the seamless pattern: the texture has to run around the cup without a break and not fall apart where the cup narrows.

A second story for Cofa Lova — a journey through European patisseries as a collection of postage stamps: Spain, Portugal, Switzerland. Many small details on a small area: the stamps had to be laid out around the cup so each reads on its own and together they make one composition.
